The pub has had a chequered history, but is a characterful Grade II listed building in a charming village, all it has been lacking is some TLC.
The pub has great features, such as huge original beams and a “Thomas Altham’s of Penrith” iron range in full working order. Behind the pub is a large beer garden with views across the Pennines
We want the pub to be the sort of place you can pop in for a midweek meal and not break the bank, with most main courses like Steak and ale pie or Cumbrian Gammon Steak with Fresh Pineapple and egg available.
We hope to serve food every night of the week from the start of April
